How It Will Work

When the Facebook extractor ships, the flow will look like this. Today Facebook Reel URLs return No public captions:

1. Copy the URL — Copy the Reel URL from Facebook. Use the share option and copy link. The URL should look like facebook.com/reel/[numbers] or fb.watch/[code].
2. Paste and submit — Paste the URL into the form above and submit. We'll check for available caption data on that specific Reel.
3. Get your transcript — View the transcript with timestamps. Copy to clipboard for quick use, or download as SRT for video editing or TXT for documentation.

Planned Facebook Output Formats

When Facebook extraction ships, the intended output is timestamped text, SRT for video editors, TXT for simple text use, and clipboard copy. The working live path today is YouTube Shorts with public captions.

Facebook-Specific Limitations

Facebook extraction is not live yet; public Facebook URLs currently return No public captions. When an extractor ships, it will need a public URL and exposed caption data. Private posts, friend-only content, and ephemeral Stories are not stable sources for URL-based extraction.

Facebook Reel Use Cases

Potential Facebook use cases include comparing cross-platform messaging, repurposing your own public Reels, and keeping video content searchable. These workflows are not available in the current live extractor; Facebook URLs return No public captions until support ships.
