SRT files from Reels work directly in video editors. Import into Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve to add subtitles to your own 9:16 content. The timestamps help you cut and repurpose: identify the hook (usually first 3-5 seconds), body content, and CTA timing. Reel-Specific Limitations
Reels have better caption availability than older Instagram formats thanks to auto-captioning. However, auto-generated captions may have errors, especially with fast speech, accents, or technical terms. Music-only Reels with no spoken words will extract song lyrics if captioned, or nothing if not. The 90-second limit means most Reels have manageable caption volumes. We don't support Reel drafts or private Reels — only published public content.
